A Tibetan Buddhist Center in Rotterdam, The Netherlands

Phuntsok Chö Ling

When the Iron bird flies and horses walk on wheels, the Tibetan people will spread over the world like ants and the Dharma will reach the country of the red-faced.

Padmasambhava, 8 th century Indian Guru and founder of the first Tibetan Monastery

Lama Jigmé Namgyal is a Tibetan Lama, who came from Tibet, through the bitter cold over the Himalayas to Nepal, and later to Europe in order to give teachings in Buddhism. His wish is to teach people the benefits of Buddhism and to share wisdom and internal happiness. For this a Buddhist center in Rotterdam will be raised. This center is not only for Buddhist but for all people of all religions, people who have lost their way, people who are just curious, or who seek knowledge….. ALL OF THEM!

In order to realize this center Lama Jigmé Namgyal asked people for help. Squiggly has created the idea of this special packaging with a limitation of 222 pieces.

The outside of the packaging is a newspaper in the French language. This is because Tintin is a reporter for the Brussels newspaper “Le Petit Vingtième.

Inside the packaging you find lots of nice items:

  • The Swatch watch “GM165 Les Aventures de Tintin” . This watch has been released for the 75 th birthday of Tintin. Swatch Netherlands has agreed to this special and provided Squiggly with 222 pieces of this special watch.
  • Tintin in Tibet . Casterman Belgium has helped us to get this special hardcover Tibetan version of Tintin in Tibet . This version is rare!
  • A Buddhist prayer flag . A prayer flag is used on specific days in the Tibetan calendar, however it is mainly used to wish good circumstances and happiness for all sentient beings.
  • A Buddhist Mala. When a Buddhist meditates and he wants to focus his mind, he can use the mala. The mala supports him counting while reciting mantra's.

The special is numbered on the packaging in normal Arabic numbers and in Tibetan handmade by a Tibetan.

All the Squiggly proceeds of this special will go for 100% to the realization of the Buddhist Center Phuntsok Chö Ling in Rotterdam . We hope you can share our pleasure by possessing this unique packaging and the idea to support Lama Jigmé Namgyal to help others finding their way to wisdom and to find peace in their hart.

Lama Jigmé Namgyal wrote a special note for everybody who made a contribution to the center.

If you want more information about the activities of Phuntsok Chö Ling or send a little message to the center or to Lama Jigmé Namgyal, please send an e-mail to: rob@squiggly.com. We will take care that your reply will find its way.
