The Swatch Store Utrecht has a special première at the Nederlands Film Festival: the Swatch Golden Calf Special, named after the main Dutch film prizes that will be presented during the festival. Only 400 copies of this exclusively packaged and numbered Swatch will be released. The first 100 pieces are only available at the Nederlands Filmfestival, to be held from Wednesday September 20 till Friday September 29 in the city of Utrecht.
An original and numbered film can is the appropriate package for the Golden Calf Special, the Swatch Golden Layers. This plastic Swatch is part of the Spring Summer Collection 2000, and seems to be composed of different shades of gold. It also has a beautifully designed, semi opened outer casing. In addition the film can contains a card, that is specially designed to fill out all winners of a Golden Calf. Recent Dutch movies, documentaries, short films and TV-dramas are in the race for the Golden Calf, that will be presented in twelve different categories: best long feature film, best director, best scenario, best long documentary, best actor, best actress, best TV-drama production, best actor TV-drama production, best actress TV-drama production, best short movie, best short documentary en professional award 2000: Sound. After the prize-giving all winners will be named at www.swatchstore.net, the website of the Swatch Store Utrecht.
The first hundred copies of the Golden Calf Special can be bought on Wednesday September 20 in one of the participating cinemas in Utrecht. The price is 170,- Dutch guilders, but members of Swatch The Club only pay 150,- on presentation of their membership card. After the Nederlands Film Festival the Golden Calf Special will be available for some time at the Swatch Store Utrecht, Steenweg 25 in Utrecht.
